Bill Cosby Says His Trial Was 'All A Setup' & Jury 'Were Imposters' In Bizarre Prison Interview

Bill Cosby prison interview set up

Bill Cosby is speaking out from prison — and what he’s saying will surely raise some eyebrows.

As you’ll no doubt recall, back in September 2018, the longtime comedian and TV star was sentenced to three to ten years behind bars for drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his Pennsylvania home. And now, in a rare prison interview, the Cosby Show icon is delivering some shocking remarks about how he feels the justice system was stacked against him.

Speaking to BlackPressUSA.com, the 82-year-old comic ripped into the events at his trial and the jury members who presided over his case, saying (below):

“I have eight years and nine months left [in prison]. When I come up for parole, they’re not going to hear me say that I have remorse. I was there. I don’t care what group of people come along and talk about this when they weren’t there. They don’t know. It was all a setup. That whole jury thing. They were imposters.”

Uhhh… WTF?!

It’s probably not good for Cosby’s future parole hearings to have a quote out there now where he openly admits he has no remorse for his crimes… And this isn’t even the first time he’s said it!!! Not smart!

But beyond that, the trial was a setup? The jury were imposters? That attack reeks of Donald Trump-level “fake news” claims and bizarre conspiracies, doesn’t it? WTF?!?! Just serve your sentence and move on!

Cosby also ripped into an event that happened in his case, when one of the potential jurors alerted the judge after overhearing a seated juror state — before the trial began — that she thought the star was guilty. For some reason, Cosby believes there was a conspiracy involved in that, too:

“Look at the woman who blew the whistle. Then she went in and came out smiling; it’s something attorneys will tell you is called a payoff. I know what they’ve done to my people. But my people are going to view me and say, ‘That boy looks good. That boy is strong.’ I have too many heroes that I’ve sat with. Too many heroes whom I listened to like John Henrik Clarke, Kenneth Clark, and Dorothy Height. Those people are very strong, and they saw the rejection of their people. This is political. I can see the whole thing. I am a privileged man in prison.”

Seems to us like a juror telling the judge about potential bias against Cosby would be a good thing for the comic’s chances in court, but again, we digress…

Cosby Talks Prison Life

The octogenarian also opened up about prison life, repeatedly referring to his small cell as his “penthouse,” and explaining how he spends many of his days counseling fellow inmates through a prison reform program called Mann Up. The actor said:

“I don’t belong to the Mann Up Association, but it’s a privilege to come in and speak. I never wanted them to lord me up. This is a great privilege. I’m not a psychiatrist, and I’m not a psychologist. I’m an educator, and what I look forward to is talking to this group of 400 or so men. Some of them here are in their 70s, in their 50s, their 40s, 30s and 20s. I tell them what I know and what I feel.”

Well that’s good, we suppose. Better than accusing your trial jury of being a bunch of imposters, at least.

What do U think about Cosby’s prison interview, Perezcious readers?! It’s not really surprising he’s mad the trial didn’t go his way — but to call the whole thing a setup, did he go too far? Are you concerned about how he’s again openly admitting he has no remorse??

Sound OFF about all this and everything else Cosby-related in the comments (below)…
