Fans Think Blake Lively Is Being SUPER Petty With This Latest Move On Her New Film!

OMG! Is Blake Lively being super demanding on her next film, too?!

On Wednesday, it was announced Another Simple Favor — the sequel to A Simple Favor would premiere at SXSW and be released on Prime Video on May 1. (No theatrical release? Oof.) The news came with a poster for the flick co-starring Anna Kendrick — only fans are now noticing a really odd and possibly super petty detail!

In the poster, Blake and Anna stand on top of a silhouette of a martini glass. The title is in big letters with Anna name’s written first (if you’re reading left to right)… and Blake’s just slightly raised above, so it’s the highest name on the poster. Take a look:

Strange!!!

This isn’t how their names were listed on the original poster, which saw them side-by-side OR with Anna’s name first.

So what changed?! Was this just an artistic choice? Or did Blake fight to get her name higher?

FWIW, the Pitch Perfect star has been in double the amount of movies as her counterpart — over 50 compared to about 25. Anna’s movies have also reportedly grossed more than 4 billion dollars while Blake’s have made over 1 billion. So, clearly, Anna is the more valuable talent. She’s the bigger star AND the bigger presence in the movie, if it’s anything like the first — which means, her name should be first. Right?!

Well… it’s worth noting that, according to Justin Baldoni in his lawsuit against his It Ends With Us co-star, the Gossip Girl alum allegedly demanded his name be removed from posters and promotional material, that his acting credit not appear next to hers, and that he be stripped from his “a film by” credit — despite being the co-star and director of the movie.

Justin also claims Blake threatened not to promote the film if Sony didn’t agree to give her a producer credit on the movie and pressured him into writing her a letter of support to get a “coveted p.g.a. mark on her producer credit” approved.

All that is to say, she allegedly REALLY cares about this kind of thing — and she’s fought to get her way before. Do U think she did that again on this new poster? Or is this just a coincidence?? We know the director is already on her side — could that have influenced things? Hmm.

Hear one fan speculate on all this (below):

For what it’s worth, as crazy as it sounds, posters’ name and face placement are ALWAYS part of negotiations for big movies, and so are the credits. Agents negotiate where their clients’ names appear, if they get the “With” or “And” in front, all of that. And some stars care more than others about stuff like that…

So does Blake strike YOU as someone who would fight for her poster placement? Sound OFF (below)!
