There’s hope for a lot of things on the DVD.
Perhaps the person most tightly connected to The Twilight Saga movie franchise other than the Holy Trinity of Twilight is the person who put the words in their mouths. Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter of the adapted series, reveals that there was a lot of footage left on the cutting room floor of this movie and she’s hoping most of it will make it onto the DVD.
Especially an extended, more thrustful honeymoon sex scene between Edward and Bella!
Melissa explains:
“Bill [Condon] went for it … and I want to keep it!”
As do most Twi-hards! One of the only complaints we’ve been hearing from the fans is that the sex stuff just wasn’t long enough. But its second life of Bree Tanner on DVD could prove to be well worth the wait!
And what other scenes might end up in there? Melissa teases some before the wedding stuff that was cut and may have even been original scenes, explaining:
“There was a whole section before the wedding with Charlie, Renee and Carlisle and Edward, kind of a back-and-forth, but it just slowed everything down. But there are some nice things in there. But again, these are things that will show up someday.”
ORLY? Does anyone remember a scene with the four of them exclusively in the book? We sure as hell don’t.
