Jamie Spears stands to lose something very precious in the wake of the child abuse allegations levied against him: his role as Britney Spears’ conservator!
As we reported, the superstar’s two sons — 13-year-old Sean Preston and 12-year-old Jayden James — have been granted a restraining order against their grandfather after their dad Kevin Federline filed a police report claiming Jamie had abused Sean last month.
With the domestic violence restraining order in place, Brit’s dad has been barred from contacting the two boys. But, according to The Blast, the latest legal drama now calls into question whether the 67-year-old should be left in charge of his daughter’s controversial conservatorship.
Sources familiar with the situation told the outlet the recent allegations against Jamie will be looked into amid the investigation into the conservatorship — which the Toxic singer’s father has controlled for over a decade.

The insiders say the court-appointed investigators will interview Sean, Jayden, and K-Fed to determine how the situation will move forward. Apparently, everyone involved in the incident, where Grandpa Jamie allegedly broke down a door to “violently” shake Brit’s teen son, could be called to testify before a judge in the case.
The judge will then evaluate the evidence and decide if Jamie should be left in charge of the conservatorship. But it’s not looking good, seeing as he has trouble dealing with key people in his daughter’s life…
This isn’t the first time Jamie’s actions have raised eyebrows over whether he should continue to serve as the Grammy winner’s sole conservator. Recently, longtime senior advisor Andrew Wallet bailed on the conservatorship due to reportedly clashing with Jamie on decisions over Brit’s personal and professional life.

Those decisions likely involve Britney’s stint in a mental health facility earlier this year, which the songstress previously claimed she was checked into “involuntarily” by Jamie and was forced to stay at against her will. These claims are part of what caused the court to conduct a full investigation into the conservatorship in the first place; now it looks like #FreeBritney supporters might get what they wanted after all.
If the court does decide to remove Jamie from his role, it’s said he will be replaced with someone who is believed to be a stable force in the star’s life — like her mother, Lynne Spears, who recently requested to take a more active role in her daughter’s personal life and the conservatorship.
