Britney Spears Expected To Appear In Court Over Conservatorship As Father Jamie Is Cleared Of Child Abuse Allegations!

Britney Spears’ father will NOT face criminal charges over the child abuse allegations leveled against him — but he IS still facing termination as the superstar’s sole conservator!

According to TMZ, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office says they found insufficient evidence to charge Jamie Spears with child abuse after investigating Kevin Federline’s claim the 67-year-old had gotten into a physical confrontation with son Sean.

As we reported, K-Fed told cops Jamie broke down a door on August 24 to get to his 14-year-old grandson and grabbed him by the arms. After investigating, the Sheriff’s Department turned over its findings to the D.A.’s Office.

While Jamie may now be free of legal trouble, he’s still at risk of losing control of his daughter’s personal and professional life as her conservatorship battle heats up.

Sources told TMZ Britney herself is expected to show up in court Wednesday for a “fireworks show” of a hearing, where the Grammy winner’s mom, Lynne, is said to ask the judge to terminate Jamie as the 37-year-old’s conservator.

As #FreeBritney supporters will know, Jamie temporarily stepped aside from some of his duties after the child abuse allegation was made. Citing health reasons for his hiatus, he filed docs to make Brit’s care manager, Jodi Montgomery, the temporary conservator until at least January 2020.

But apparently, Momma Spears thinks Jamie is no longer fit to continue in that role. The outlet claims Lynne will not ask to become Britney’s conservator; and while she didn’t object to Jodi being the temporary conservator, it’s unclear how she feels about letting Brit’s care manager take over full time.

Either way, sources involved with the case told TMZ there will be “major surprises” during the hearing. One critical piece of evidence expected to be unveiled is the report by a court-appointed evaluator who spent months investigating the care the Toxic singer has received.

The evaluator was said to have gathered evidence on Jamie and Britney’s primary doctor, Dr. Timothy Benson — who died unexpectedly on August 24 at age 48 (!!) — but only the judge knows what’s in the report so far.

As for Jamie, he’s still under a restraining order prohibiting him from having any contact with either of Britney’s two sons. Meanwhile, it’s said the pop icon is furious at him over his questionable confrontation with Sean, and hasn’t spoken to her dad since the incident.

The sources say there’s a “strong likelihood” the momma of two will show up in court and support Lynne, with whom she’s apparently gotten quite close with over the past six months.

Do U think the Spears family will finally get the shakeup they need?
