Brooke Shields Takes A Jab At Ex-Husband Andre Agassi -- 'I Write My Own Books, FYI'!

Brooke Shields
took the high road… kind of.
On Thursday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Brooke addressed her past relationship with tennis pro Andre Agassi and his controversial memoir Open. Cohen was curious to know how Shields felt about the book’s candid depiction of their six year relationship and brief marriage.

Speaking on the tell-all, the actress explained:

“I only read the parts I was in, and I was asked to read it by him so that I could correct things that I believed were not correct, because he told me his memory was not that good, so he called me in and I spent five hours with his ghostwriter├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥I write my own books, FYI. Anyway! I went and I spent five hours and I corrected things that were not as I remembered them chronologically. I have diaries of everything.”

Woah, did we just spot some serious shade with the ghostwriter jab? Sure sounds like it!
Despite a meeting with the ghostwriter, the mom revealed things didn’t work out exactly as planned:

“And then I got a letter back that said, ‘I’m so sorry I couldn’t change anything because it wasn’t how I remembered it.’ It’s the oldest trick in the book and I just didn’t get it. But, with all due respect, I did not come across as badly as people might have thought that he wanted to. That’s not who he is. He’s not an evil person.”

Hmm, well at least Brooke doesn’t view Andre as an “evil” person. It’s clear she’s still happy to throw a little shade his way, though!
To be fair, Shields also seized the opportunity to dish on their marriage in her autobiography, There Was A Little Girl: The Real Story of Mother and Me.
In the book, the model revealed Agassi smashed all of his tennis trophies after he watched her film a date scene with Matt LeBlanc on Friends. B.S. also shared the pro’s addiction to crystal meth.
Yikes! Hopefully this is the end of airing dirty laundry… sometimes the past should just stay put!
