Canadian Coach Provides The Most Heartwarming Moment Of The Olympics By Helping A Russian Skier Finish A Race! Nations Unite!

canadian coach gives russian skier a ski after accident
It’s moments like this that remind us why the Olympics are so freaking awesome!!
Russian cross country skier Anton Gafarov was facing a heartbreaking situation when a nasty spill mangled one of his skis during a race, essentially putting an end to his chances of crossing the finish line in his home country.
However, Canadian coach Justin Wadsworth decided to take action and actually ran onto the course and gave his competitor and new ski so he could finish the race!!
If that doesn’t melt your heart, we don’t know what will!
Justin spoke out about the generous act and says he knew he had to do something:

“It was like watching an animal stuck in a trap. You can├óΓé¼Γäót just sit there and do nothing about it. I wanted him to have dignity as he crossed the finish line.”

How awesome is that??!
Of course, the accident cost Anton any chance of earning a medal for the race, however, just to be able to cross the finish line in front of his home crowd is a HUGE accomplishment on its own!!
Now can someone give Canada a gold medal just for being awesome already???
