Ciara Opens Up About Ending Her Engagement To Ex Future! WATCH!

Ciara opens up about her love life: past, present, and Future.
On Monday’s episode of Red Table Talk, the Goodies singer spoke to Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris about ending her engagement to the Mask Off rapper in 2014.

The two broke up just three months after welcoming son, Future Zahir.
Though the decision was difficult, the 33-year-old refused to stay in a relationship that was “not healthy.” She revealed:

“I grew up with my mom and dad being together. The idea of it being mommy and daddy that made baby… Also, you’re living your life in front of the world, so that adds a whole ‘nother layer. I feel like I’m failing right now, they gon’ roast me… The one thing I fear in life is really wasting my life. I really fear that ‘cause you realize that time does not stop and it will be the worst scenario to stay in a situation that it’s just not healthy, it’s not going to get any better. I realized that I have to start making different decisions.”

Ultimately, the songstress had to do what was in her son’s best interest.

“When I was thinking about my son, I know what I want to feel. I know the kind of love that I want for us… What I did was – [son] Future was like my teddy bear. So I was like, we gon’ go. We ‘bout to do this thing together.”

Additionally, the 1, 2 Step musician admitted to using her parents’ relationship as a reference for what she wanted in a partner.

“I had to take a couple of times to figure it out, but my dad’s love is what saved me in all my situations, because it would get to a point where I was like, my dad wouldn’t do this to my mom. This can’t be love… I’ve always had the same goal of wanting to be loved a certain way, but I was just walking in the wrong direction.”

Ciara ended up marrying NFL superstar Russell Wilson in July 2016, and welcomed their daughter, Sienna Princess, in April 2017.
But what turns her on about the athlete? Surprisingly, it’s the fact that he goes to “teacher-parent conferences”!
While explaining how the Seattle Seahawks quarterback has stepped in as a father figure for her 5-year-old son, she dished:

“Russ jumped right in… He was changing diapers. He was so proud of [son] Future’s first steps. When I go to teacher-parent conferences he’s at every one of them with me, and I make sure I schedule so he can be there because those details matter to him. It’s honestly one of the most sexiest things about him to me. Because the way he loves my son and also they way he loves our kids.”
