We’ve talked about Japan being the worlds largest consumer of fish like shark and blue fin tuna, which are both endangered species thanks to over-fishing and a high customer demand, but here’s what people are doing about it!
Checkout what people are doing to conserve the blue fin tuna, while still feeding the demand above, as well as what a pair of consultants on the 1975 film Jaws are doing to protect the gentle sea creatures they love, but helped create a public fear of.
Valerie Taylor, who along with her husband, has been working with sharks for over four decades and says:
“Very few sharks are potentially dangerous to man. Only half a dozen of them, out of all the hundreds of species. So why should we just go and kill these harmless, gentle creatures for a bowl of soup?”
We totally agree Valerie!
This report is definitely worth watching!
