What a boss!
Patrick Pipino wanted to promote honesty when he penned a note excusing his daughters’ tardiness from school on Tuesday.
In the note, Saratoga Springs, New York resident revealed his kids would be late because the family went to a Bruce Springsteen concert on Monday night!
Sharing the note to his Facebook page, Pipino noted that seeing The Boss might not “seem like a good excuse,” but felt no shame in sharing why his two daughters were late.

It turns out 12-year-old Isabelle and 7-year-old Sarah are just as big of fans of Springsteen as their dad, telling ABC News:
“They both love Bruce Springsteen, and have ever since the older one was only 4 years old. Isabelle would be singing from the back seat and if I had something else on, she would say, ‘Dad, can we listen to Springsteen?’ Sometimes she would even say, ‘Can we listen to old Springsteen?'”
It sounds like great taste in music runs in the family!
But Pipino is nervous he might get in trouble for his antics with his wife… seeing as she happens to teach in the school district! He added:
“My wife is a schoolteacher in the district. She was mortified by not knowing what her betrothed did.”
We can imagine! LOLz!
