David Arquette is still on the mend from the terrifying death match he participated in over the weekend.
The Never Been Kissed actor’s wife, Christina McLarty, revealed that her husband returned to the hospital this week because he was still experiencing neck pains from the bloody wrestling fight that he barely survived on Friday.

McLarty shared the update while out in El Lay on Tuesday, assuring fans that the actor-turned-wrestler was “okay” and would be home in time for Thanksgiving with his family. She told The Blast:
“He’s okay, thank you. After the wrestling match he looked fine, and then [his neck] was irritating him. I don’t know, I didn’t see the whole thing go down.”
It’s a good thing she didn’t! As we reported, the 47-year-old stepped up as a last minute replacement in a match against Nick Gage for an indie wrestling event and got messed up worse than he did in Scream 2.

At one point during the fight, Gage brought out light tubes and grazed a broken tube across his opponent’s forehead — but he appeared to slip and struck Arquette’s neck. A visibly injured Arquette then held his hand to his neck as he stepped outside the ring.
Ever the dedicated performer, however, he returned moments later and went on to lose the match. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Arquette was rushed to the hospital and received stitches.
He addressed the match after footage of his bloody injuries hit the interwebs, tweeting that he “truly did not know the extent of what I was participating in”:
The main reason I got injured was because of my lack of experience – don’t try this at home pic.twitter.com/icQK2wnQNc
