Dr. Dre Threatens Lawsuit As TV Movie Set To Air Next Week Portrays Him As A Vicious Woman Beater

no title
Seems like Dr. Dre is NOT happy with an upcoming TV movie that portrays him in a not-so-kind light!
Lifetime is set to run a Sony Pictures flick called Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le that apparently portrays the Chronic rapper as a woman beater who knocks his ex-girlfriend senseless.
And now, Dre is threatening a lawsuit if that movie ever airs!!

Dre’s legal team filed a cease and desist letter with Sony Pictures this week, according to TMZ, demanding that Sony back off their plans to release the made-for-TV movie depicting the rapper’s decades-old relationship with Michel’le.
If Sony airs it, according to the legal docs, a day in court will be ahead.
In the letter, Dre openly denies ever abusing or hitting Michel’le, acknowledging that they dated more than 30 years ago and she never hinted at abuse or violent behavior at the time. He points out, too, that she never sought out medical treatment or filed a police report.
Apparently there is good reason for Dre to be angry about this, since the character portraying him in the movie is allegedly incredibly violent, throwing Michel’le by her hair, attacking her, punching her in the face, and even pulling a gun on her.
As far as the real Michel’le goes concerning un-reported abuse, well, she had this to say about her life with Dre:

“When you’re living in it, you can’t see it. But I couldn’t believe that I was really living like that. And it really resonated with me. Never did I wake up and ask Dre, ├óΓé¼╦£Why did you hit me?’ … It’s easy for people to say, ├óΓé¼╦£OK, get over. Let it go,’ but then it’s not as easy. And the same goes with substance abuse, too. It was hell and didn’t help the situation, at all. I just really don’t want women to go through it, at all.”

Wow.
