It’s still unclear if Drake actually called Kanye West last week and “threatened the safety” of his family, but it seems like he may have expected some sort of a counter attack.
A source told People that the God’s Plan rapper beefed up the security outside his home, which rests in the same Hidden Hills gated community as Ye and his family, on Friday, amid the escalating feud between the two music titans.
As we reported, Kanye called Drake out in a Twitter firestorm on Thursday, claiming that the Canadian rapper threatened his family and even contacted his mother-in-law Kris Jenner behind his back (the nerve!). Drake has yet to address his rival’s accusations, save for a few crying-laughing emojis shared on his Instagram story Thursday.

But a day after Drake heightened his home security and Kanye heightened his social media security in the form of Kim Kardashian West, their beef was seemingly taken off the grill. Just like that!
On Saturday morning, Kanye tweeted that he had love for both Drake and Travis Scott — who got caught in the line of fire because he let Drake diss his baby momma’s brother-in-law in Sicko Mode — calling what appeared to be a ceasefire:

So, those threats were threats of… love?
We’re not sure if a love thy neighbor-style reconciliation went down in Hidden Hills, or if Kanye just realized there were bigger enemies afoot.
