Elizabeth Banks Is SERIOUSLY EFFING CREEPY In First Pic As Power Rangers Villain Rita Repulsa! You Have To See This!

Almost two years ago we learned Lionsgate and Saban Brands were teaming up to give us a feature film version of Power Rangers — and we were equal parts surprised and titillated.
Over the past few months, the zords have been running full steam as we got a first look at the new Rangers AND learned Elizabeth Banks was going to play the main villain, Rita Repulsa!

Well now we have something EVEN MORE AH-Mazing as People has revealed the first look at Banks’ baddie fully suited up (above)!
But how does the 42-year-old hold up to the looks of the original?! Take a peek (below) and let us know!

Speaking to the publication, Elizabeth also opened up about her part admitting her excitement as she’s “never played a villain before.”
She also added that she’s definitely looking forward to “being unpredictable as a character.” Not to mention “world domination.” We bet!
So what’s with the new look?? Is this a completely different Rita than the campy TV show? The actress dished:

“It’s definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa. We wanted to give her a backstory that connects her to the new Rangers.”

Exciting!
The film also stars Becky G, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott, Ludi Lin, and Dacre Montgomery, and will land in theaters March 2017.
