The Ellen DeGeneres Show Being INVESTIGATED Over Toxic Workplace Environment Allegations!

Ellen DeGeneres Show Investigation

These allegations against The Ellen DeGeneres Show aren’t going away!

According to Variety, Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show has become the subject of an internal investigation by WarnerMedia after a group of former employees complained about the “toxic” environment on set of the long-running daytime series.

Sources told the outlet that execs from show producer Telepictures and distributor Warner Bros. Television sent a memo to staffers last week saying they contacted the employee relations group at WarnerMedia (which owns WBTV) and a third party firm who will interview current and former employees about their experiences on set.

Probably not great news for Ellen’s producers, considering the scathing review they were given in that recent explosive report by BuzzFeed NewsAs we reported, one current and 10 former employees told the publication earlier this month that they endured microaggressions, misconduct, and more problematic behavior by executive producers Ed Glavin, Mary Connelly, and Andy Lassner, allegedly including jokes about mistaking two Black female employees with the same hairstyle.

One former staffer explained to the outlet:

“People focus on rumors about how Ellen is mean and everything like that, but that’s not the problem. The issue is these three executive producers running the show who are in charge of all these people [and] who make the culture and are putting out this feeling of bullying and being mean. They feel that everybody who works at The Ellen Show is lucky to work there: ‘So if you have a problem, you should leave because we’ll hire someone else because everybody wants to work here.’”

The named producers addressed the allegations in a joint statement to Buzzfeed, saying:

“We are truly heartbroken and sorry to learn that even one person in our production family has had a negative experience. It’s not who we are and not who we strive to be, and not the mission Ellen has set for us. For the record, the day to day responsibility of the Ellen show is completely on us. We take all of this very seriously and we realize, as many in the world are learning, that we need to do better, are committed to do better, and we will do better.”

Meanwhile, current staffers on the show were reportedly “loving” that their former co-workers were coming forward with these claims. A source explained to Us Weekly:

“They’ve been calling and texting each other about the story. They’re loving that the truth — which has been an open secret for years in the industry — is finally receiving more interest.”

We have a feeling they’re really loving the situation now that WarnerMedia and an unnamed third party are involved!

What do U think will happen with this investigation?
