Love is in the air!
Especially, if you’re Eva Longoria.
As we previously reported, the Desperate Housewives alum became engaged earlier this month while on a trip to Dubai with Jose Antonio Baston. Aww!
Though Miz Longoria seems perfectly happy now, the Telenovela star wasn’t always optimistic about falling in love again. In case you forgot, the pint sized beauty was previously married to NBA star Tony Parker and dated Penelope Cruz‘s brother Eduardo.

On meeting her fiancé, She explained:
“I was getting out of a bad relationship, and he was getting out of a relationship, so there wasn’t a connection. So, we had a pleasant conversation but there was no real connection.”
Talk about a missed opportunity. She continued:
“I had no memory of meeting him the first time, but we had immediate sparks. It was like the clich├â┬⌐ angels singing and there was a glow around him and it was immediate chemistry.”
In fact, it’s said the twosome went on a four hour lunch date the next day. Now that’s chemistry!
Eva added:
“He was the most handsome man I’d ever seen. He was so charismatic, charming, sweet and funny. I thought, ‘Who is this guy?!'”
Aww! That is so sweet. The pair went on to date for two and a half years.
She concluded:
“I want to yell from the highest mountaintop about everything that goes on with us because I’m so happy and excited to be with a person as kind as Pepe is. He is probably one of the first man I’ve dated that has been older and established and, basically, a grown-up. It is so nice to be arm-in-arm with someone who is your equal.”
We couldn’t be happier for Eva and Jose as they celebrate their good news. Congrats again you two!
