Blake Lively is losing her dragons one by one!
Late last month, Gigi Hadid celebrated her 30th birthday with an intimate, star-studded party at the Le Chalet private bar in L’Avenue at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City. She, of course, brought her boyfriend Bradley Cooper along, but she also had Anne Hathaway, Zöe Kravitz, Emily Ratajkowski, and Taylor Swift there to celebrate her milestone birthday.
But one person who didn’t show up was Blake! The Gossip Girl alum wasn’t hiding amid her legal troubles, nor did she have to travel far like Taylor, who left Boca Raton to join Gigi on her big day. So what gives? Why miss out on her girl’s birthday? They were once so close, emphasis on once!

At the time, the most obvious possible reason was that Blake skipped because Taylor was there. Over the past few weeks, speculation has run rampant about whether the pop star — and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce — are taking a break from their friendship with the Another Simple Favor star and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. The couple reportedly doesn’t want to be involved in their legal battle with Justin Baldoni. (FYI, Tay is in the middle now, whether she likes it or not! She was officially subpoenaed by the It Ends With Us director/star on Friday!) Because of that, Blake may have wanted to avoid an awkward run-in with Taylor since they really aren’t on good terms — or worse, the Anti-Hero artist asked Gigi not to invite her.
Or there is this. What if Gigi has distanced herself from Blake now, too? It’s highly possible she wants to stay far away from the legal drama, just like Taylor and Travis, and decided not to have the mom of four at the bash! It sucks, but can you blame her?
But which is it? Was it because of Taylor or Gigi that Blake didn’t attend? According to a source for Dailymail.com on Friday, it’s kind of both! The insider said the model “is no longer friends with her,” so Blake didn’t score an invite! And why Gigi iced her out has everything to do with Taylor! The source explained that even though the two were introduced through the Cruel Summer artist, “Gigi’s loyalty is to Taylor” — and not Blake:
“She is not, and will never be, one of Blake’s ‘dragons.’”
And neither will Taylor! The source noted Gigi “has not spoken to Blake for several months,” and Taylor is “not in communication with Blake, despite reports suggesting otherwise.” Wait, so they have not mended the fences as reports claimed? And Blake is on the outs with Gigi, on top of that? Oof! Blake, without a doubt, will need people in her corner to support her when her trial begins next year, but she won’t have her former closest gal pals there now…
