Actor Andrew Koenig, known for playing Boner on Growing Pains, has been missing in Vancouver for over a week.

He was last seen on Valentine’s Day and missed his flight out of Canadialand two days later. He was working as a camera operator for the comedy podcast, Never Not Funny.

His father is Walter Koenig, best known for playing Chekov in Star Trek, who claims he received a note from Andrew on the 16th.

“He sounded despondent,” said Walter. “Nobody has seen this [note] but my wife and I.”

They believe the his disappearance may have something to do with his longtime struggle with depression.

“I think it’s something that has been a part of his makeup for a long time. There’s no single trauma. There’s no episode. There’s nothing of that nature,” continued Walter. “He went to visit some friends in Toronto and after there, he went to Vancouver. It’s a place where he felt very comfortable. He lived there for a few years.”

Andrew was staying with his friend, burlesque artist Jenny Magenta, who enlisted her Facebook to help find the actor on Friday. Other celebrities who took to their social networks to find Koenig were Sarah Silverman, Alyssa Milano and Joel McHale.

It’s also been reported that when Andrew was contacted for work in the last two weeks, he turned it down because he was “not going to work anymore.”

If anyone sees him, please contact Det. Raymond Payette of the Vancouver PD at 604-717-2534.

Sad. Sad.
