Fans must be freaking out!
We know we are!!!
The mega hit movie Guardians Of The Galaxy dominated the box office this summer, and now some Disney television executives are hoping it can do the same for them!
Because it’s just been announced in New York at Comic-Con that an animated series based on the movie is coming to the television channel Disney XD where folks are hoping this show puts that network on the big boys map!
And what a great Marvel franchise to do that with!

Here’s what the head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb said:
“This is a very exciting time for the Marvel Animation Studio as we get to explore the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe by developing the first-ever Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy animated series. After starring in the biggest movie of 2014, everyone wants more of Star-Lord and his crew├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥now they’ll get it.”
Not only was this announced, but footage of the show appeared this past Friday in the Big Apple, as well!
And we were loving what we saw so far!
The show isn’t expected to premiere until 2015, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get super excited for it right now!
