In March we posted about This Tragic Excuse Of A Zoo.
Today we are pleased to announce the tiger in the picture above will be finding a new home – GuZoo is fianlly being shut down!
An independent review of the facility found a long list of major deficiencies at the zoo.
The main concerns consisted of a lack of food and water, cleanliness, and safety for the animals and visitors.
One group, Zoocheck, has been watching GuZoo for quite a while and is thrilled that finally, something is being done.
“We’re just so happy that finally, after years of animals being neglected, this zoo is being shut down,”
said said a Zoocheck rep.
The group credits photos which circulated over the Internet drew the most recent attention to zoo practices.
