Jay-Z Hosts Scholarship Foundation Charity Carnival

Aww! He’s such a momma’s boy!
Jay-Z, a.k.a Shawn Carter, posed with his mother, Gloria Carter, on the red carpet on Thursday during the Shawn Carter Foundation 2011 Carnival.
The NYC event at Hudoon River Park’s Pier 54 cost $1,000 a ticket, but all proceeds benefited the foundation’s scholarship program.
Other guests included former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez!
