Disappointing déjà vu!
Jessica Chastain has set the bar quite high for herself, so when she falters, it’s very noticeable.
The actress chose a simple black Givenchy strapless gown with bustier sweetheart neckline for the amfAR Gala in Cannes yesterday, and if it looks familiar, that’s because she wore an almost identical Givenchy gown at the Golden Globes in January.
They’re not exactly the same, of course, with the one from the Globes having distinct markings along the sides, but they’re close enough that we’re underwhelmed.
She even styled this one similarly, wearing a diamond statement necklace and leaving her hair down instead of trying something different, like an elaborate updo perhaps.
We find it odd that she would wear two such similar dresses by the same designer only a few months apart when she has access to pretty much any dress her heart desires!
Boo!
