British pop star Jessie J is currently competing on a Chinese reality TV singing competition show called Singer 2018 on Hunan TV…
Yes, you read that right. We are not joking.

According to The Straits Times referencing Chinese reports, the Bang Bang artist is the show’s first Anglo-American contestant. When asked why she is competing in a non-English-speaking country, she answered in the first episode:
“Yeah, why not? Let’s go… There’s nothing I can’t do. That’s how I feel in my heart… I’m turning 30 this year and I just think, why not? It’s an experience I’ll never forget and may never get again and I’m gonna sing like I’ve never sung before.”
Unlike her song Price Tag, we totally think it IS all about the money, money, money!
Despite the randomness of it all, the musician placed first for two consecutive weeks, performing her hit song Domino and then doing a cover of Whitney Houston‘s I Have Nothing.
Whatever country she is in, girl can SANG!
