John Mayer On Vocal Rest After Throat Surgery

John Mayer
Musical heartthrob John Mayer underwent surgery last Thursday to treat his throat condition, known as Granuloma.
He had tried alternatives to treat the inflamed nodule near his vocal cord in an effort to avoid an operation, but had no luck, explaining:

“It├óΓé¼Γäós been a very long process in waiting to see if time was an alternative to surgery, but even given two weeks├óΓé¼Γäó voice rest (along with many other approaches), there was no change for the better.”

He is now recovering after the successful surgery and is on “complete vocal rest for a month or more.” Unfortunately for fans, this means a delay for his upcoming album Born and Raised.
While he’s resting his voice, the singer says he’s “taking off”. More specifically, he plans on “going to travel the country, look, and listen.”
We hope this month goes by quick because we can’t wait to hear John’s new material!
