Legendary singer John Mellencamp has come forward in defense of Sarah Palin and her, wait for it, intelligence.
In a recent interview, he told sources that he thinks she “knows exactly what’s she doing” and “she wouldn’t be where she is today if she didn’t.” He insists that people jump to conclusions to quickly about her smarts, simply “because she says things and winks.”
The winking is a bit of an IQ dropper.
Though he doesn’t agree with her political stance, he also admits he gives her credit for all she has been able to accomplish over the last 2 years, explaining “she’s pushing the right buttons” and “you can’t be stupid and do that.”
Oh, we beg to differ on that, but if you say so.
