Kanye West’s Yeezy Office EVICTED From Calabasas – Can’t Afford Rent!

Look, we knew Kanye West was having some major financial problems — but he’s really doing so badly he’s about to get evicted?!

As you may know, the 45-year-old rapper has been struggling in the business department lately. His slew of horrific antisemitic controversies over the past couple of months has resulted in brands like Adidas, Balenciaga, and GAP to part ways with him. In fact, when Adidas specifically cut ties with Ye, Forbes estimated that his new net worth fell to around $400 million — meaning he officially lost his billionaire status.

On top of that, reports previously claimed the record producer was blowing “through money like it’s water.” During an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored in October, Kanye even confessed to only having “$120 million” in his bank account at the time. (Sure, it’s a LOT, but for Ye?) And now, it looks like his money issues are catching up to him. He’s about to get kicked out of the Calabasas building that houses the Yeezy offices because he hasn’t paid rent!

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast on Tuesday, the owner — a company named CT Calabasas — filed to evict the brand from the building for being behind in at least two months of rent, a whopping total of $63,254! Damn! Per the filing, the company says it made a deal with Kanye’s brand in 2015 when it was still under the name “West Brands Fashion,” but Yeezy Apparel then merged with his other company in 2016, “thereby succeeding West Brand’s interest in the lease.” The Stronger artist reportedly leases 15,000 square feet of space from CT Calabasas for his “design studio.” And when the merger happened, he agreed to shell out $31,477.40 each month in rent for the space.

However, the landlord claimed he never gave them the rent money for November and December. Of course, the company isn’t too happy about this. Two months’ rent in a space that big is HUGE! So they reportedly want him gone from the premises in 72 hours unless Kanye pays what’s due. The eviction notice, obtained by The Blast, states:

“Within three days after service of this notice on you, you must pay the amount of said rent in full or quit said premises and deliver up possession of the same to the authorized agent for your landlord. If you fail to pay or quit, legal proceedings will be instituted against you for possession of the premises, forfeiture of the agreement, and for monetary damages as may be allowed by law. You are further notified that by this Notice the Landlord elects to and does hereby declare a forfeiture of said Lease if said rent is not paid in full within three (3) days.”

The owner also asked for “past due rent of $63,254, reasonable attorneys fees, forfeiture of the agreement, and damages at the rate from January 1, 2023.” Oof. The clock is ticking, Kanye!
