Everyone seems to agree: Tom Cruise‘ Scientology obsession was the downfall to his marriage with Katie Holmes.
But the FINAL Scientology straw that broke the TomKat’s back was all about Suri‘s future with the religion.
An insider close to the couple claims Tom was set on sending his 6-year-old daughter to a hardcore Scientology boat/organization, called Sea Organization, where Suri would be raised by Xenu Scientologists — not her parents.
According to our source:
“The Sea Org has been often compared to a boot camp and several ex-Scientologists (including Oscar winner Paul Haggis) have been outspoken against its military-like conditions.”
Yiiiikes!
That does NOT sound like an awesome childhood!
It’s not our place to judge how someone wants to raise their child… but if you ask us — sending a kindergardener to a military-style boarding school on the high seas, to be raised by people who sign a contract to work for the ship for a BILLON years is borderline abusive.
If Tom really wanted to send Suri to Sea Org — we do noooot blame Katie for jumping ship!
