Kelly Rizzo Gets Candid About Why She Sold Her & Bob Saget’s Home After His Death

Kelly Rizzo got real about why she needed to say goodbye to the home she shared with her late husband, Bob Saget.

Ever since the beloved actor died from head trauma last year, the 42-year-old has been very open about the process of grieving and moving forward with her life after the tragedy. One of the steps she took in her healing journey was putting their Los Angeles home on the market and moving out. She revealed on Instagram last April that she “moved” during a Q&A session with fans. While Kelly parted ways with the home at the time, it did not sell until a year later for $5.4 million.

Now, the travel blogger is speaking out about her decision to sell their estate a couple of months after Bob’s sudden death. During an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show on Wednesday, Kelly shared that she still keeps the Full House star’s memory alive in her new home through photographs:

“It’s such a strange thing because the home situation, you know there’s so many things about Bob that he is still so present in my life. If you go into my new house, there’s pictures of him everywhere. It’s like just shy of a Bob museum. But you know, he’s still everywhere. I look at videos of him all the time. I see photos of him all the time.”

Even though Bob’s presence is still at her new place, she couldn’t stay at the old residence anymore. Kelly explained that their shared home became too hard and “triggering” for her to live in after his passing, saying:

“Something about the home that you shared sometimes can be very triggering … even if you had wonderful memories there, even if it was such a positive experience — which it was, I mean he loved our house — and it was such a positive memory, but there’s something about when somebody passes, the home itself can be a situation. So that’s why it was so nice to get a fresh start.”

Kelly added:

“I didn’t realize that until recently.”
