Kesha Is A Carefree Motherfucking Woman -- & Don't You Forget It!

Kesha drops music video for Woman
Kesha isn’t messing around when it comes to her comeback.
In order to prove this point, the pop starlet dropped another single off her upcoming album Rainbow, only a week after releasing her power ballad Praying. We see you, girl!

Kesha has made it pretty clear that her new album is going to be empowering AF as her latest track is all about being “a motherfucking woman.” Heck, the song is even titled Woman.
The blonde is certainly oozing Lady GaGa Joanne-era vibes as Woman has a funky, country sound to it. Not to mention, the 30-year-old rocks a red cowboy hat throughout the music video released alongside the single. If the hat was pink we would’ve thought we were watching the John Wayne vid! Kidding.

Woman is certainly a fun song, a bop if you will! The Simple Life alum recently opened up about the writing process for the empowering anthem, as she revealed in an essay for Rolling Stone:

“It was such a beautiful experience to write such a strong female empowerment song with two men. Because it reinforces how supportive men can be of women AND feminism. That day was one of the best writing sessions of my life. It was pure raw joy. I have never had such a wonderful and hilarious work day as I did that day. It was one of those days I’ll remember forever, because it brought me back to why I wanted to ever start making music.”

In case you forgot, the performer went MIA from the music scene for a bit as she was embroiled in a nasty legal battle against music producer Dr. Luke. And while the A-lister’s lawsuit didn’t have a happy ending, she’s definitely ready to make her mark once more.
The Die Young singer continued:

“With Woman, I hope my fans will hear that wild spirit still strong inside me but this time it was created more raw, spontaneously and with all live instrumentation, which I found was a huge reason I loved the records I did love… I wanted this song to capture that organic, raw, soulful sound and keep the imperfect moments in the recordings because I find the magic in the imperfections.”

Nice!! Don’t forget, Rainbow drops on August 11!
