Liam Payne Ex Maya Henry Wrote About Falling Off Balcony In Book Inspired By Romance!

This is super eerie…

Back in May, Liam Payne’s ex-fiancée Maya Henry wrote a book inspired by their fraught romance — and it happens to include a drug-fueled dispute leading to someone falling off a balcony! That is SO similar to the One Direction star’s final moments. Wow.

In the book Looking Forward, which was “inspired by real events,” the main character Mallory is dating Oliver, a British member of the former boy band 5Forward. At one point in the book, Mallory visits her beau, who is acting erratically due to drugs. He’s hitting himself “again and again, working himself into a frenzy.” She begs for her partner to stop hurting himself — but that prompts him to stand up. She writes:

“Before I can even touch him, he’s on his feet. He looks at me for a split second, then turns on his heels and races straight for — Oh no. F**k. The balcony.”

Mallory tries to get him to come back inside, but Oliver then yells that he’s “gonna f**king kill myself … I want to die.”

Oh my gosh…

The one major difference between the book and reality is that it’s not the pop star who falls off the balcony — but Mallory! However, she is left uninjured. But damn! It’s hauntingly similar to Liam’s death.

As Perezcious readers know, Liam was staying at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday when he began to act erratically, according to TMZ‘s witnesses. He had to be carried back to his room, where he started “trashing” the place. The hotel’s receptionist called 911 for urgent help as the staff was concerned “his life is in danger” because of his behavior, noting that he appeared to have taken drugs and alcohol. A translation of the call noted:

“He is in a room that has a balcony and we are scared he might be endangering his life.”

Moments later, the father of one jumped from the balcony. It is not clear yet if this was an intentional fall. While he has struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues in the past, some local authorities aren’t even sure he was fully conscious when he fell to his death. So, there’s a lot still yet to be understood about the tragic incident.

What we do know, however, is that in the days leading up to his death, Liam was embroiled in some distressing legal trouble with his ex, Maya, who had started getting more candid recently about their allegedly abusive relationship. They were together from 2018 to 2022, and even got engaged in 2020.

Not only did she claim that he would threaten suicide and often talk about how he was going to die soon as a “manipulation” tactic, but she had also just sent him a cease-and-desist order following alleged constant unwanted communication. Her lawyers even told DailyMail.com on Monday tat it was done “following the emergence of new and concerning information.” They did not explain further, but after his death, a source told People that the musician “was extremely overwhelmed by all of the legal issues.”

Obviously, what has happened to Liam is not her fault at all. She has every right to speak out and share her truth. How someone chooses to react to that is their own choice. That said, it’s harrowing to look at her book, and especially this scene, knowing what has happened. Ugh! Thoughts? Share them (below).
