Jovani — a New York-based gown retailer headquartered in the Garment District — has been around since 1980, and sells prom dresses, cocktail frocks, red carpet gowns, and wedding dresses.
In the 10th season of the hit franchise, de Lesseps famously got into an argument with costar Dorinda Medley, who played a part with the brand providing Luann with free outfits for her first cabaret show.
After Luann “forgot” to invite Medley’s boyfriend, John Mahdessian, to the opening night, Dorinda heckled, “Jovani,” during de Lesseps’ performance.
In the episode, Medley explained to cast member Tinsley Mortimer:

“It would have been a nice gesture and it would have been nice to go to the after party with him… I did call Luann and she was like, ‘You should have asked me months ago.’ She’s like, ‘If you really wanted him to come, you should have bought a ticket. … Not my problem. It’s my big night. Break a leg would have been a better message. You should have asked sooner if you wanted him to attend.'”

Luann said in a confessional:

“I hear Dorinda yelling out, ‘Oh yeah, that’s another Jovani number.’ Yeah, you gave me a showroom to go to and the dresses fit me like a glove… Don’t throw your jealous energy up here on stage with me. No no, girlfriend. I got this.”

As we reported in May, Luann evaded jail time after violating her probation — stemming from her December 2017 Palm Beach incident where she was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication, threatening a public servant, resisting arrest, and battery on an officer.
After pleading guilty on all four charges in July 2018, de Lesseps was given a fairly merciful sentence which included fines, 50 hours of community service, and court ordered A.A. meetings.
She was also placed on probation for one year, where she was not allowed to touch an alcoholic drink.
In February, the former Countess stopped attending her mandatory meetings, and was accused of “not complying with taking random sobriety tests.” At the time, her probation officer reportedly just gave her a warning.
Two months later, she failed a sobriety test after she reportedly drank two glasses of mimosas after a performance in Chicago.
Though she was initially ordered back to jail, she was able to strike a deal, consisting of weekly telephone counseling, monthly meetings in person with a psychiatrist, a breathalyzer in her car, and a prescription for alcohol addiction drug Antabuse.
