Well, Calvin Klein sure made it easy to steal 6,000 pearls all at once!
We’re not blaming them — we’re just saying it was probably super convenient for thieves to have all those pearls sewn together!

Lupita Nyong’o‘s majestic, hand-sewn Oscars gown — with an estimated value of $150,000 — has been stolen from her room at The London West Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles!
LA County Sheriff’s Department Officer John Mitchell confirmed the news, saying:
“We got call at about 11:30 last night from someone at the London Hotel about a high value dress that was stolen from a hotel room.”
It is believed the dress was stolen on Tuesday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., and police have turned to surveillance footage taken during that time frame to hopefully catch the thief.
A source also stated that Lupita, whose room was accessible by various members of her entourage, tried to report the theft, but wasn’t able to because she doesn’t actually own the dress, since it was borrowed from Calvin Klein for the award show.
We can only imagine how frantic the actress was upon discovering that the dress was missing! We’d be FREAKING OUT!
Hopefully police find the thief before the entire gown is unraveled and all the pearls are sold off!
That’s probably already happened though.
Dresses can be insured, right? We hope this one was!
