A young male model has been arrested and charged with the murder of an NYC father.
Dynus Saxon, a model who has appeared in campaigns for Vogue and Calvin Klein, was arrested on Monday. Police report the 20-year-old was taken into custody in the Bronx in relation to the fatal stabbing of a 35-year-old man named Kadeem Grant, which took place over the weekend.
The New York Police Department reported that the victim was found at the entrance of a Mott Haven apartment building in Grand Concourse around 2:20 p.m. Sunday. Grant was discovered with stab wounds to his chest, hands, and feet. A knife was also discovered at the scene. Some reports state the knife was still lodged in the man’s chest upon arrival of EMTs, while others say it was lying near his body. A trail of Grant’s blood was also found trickling down the steps. Conflicting reports state the victim was either pronounced dead at the scene, or shortly after his arrival to Lincoln Hospital — but in the end, he did die from the brutal injuries.

According to New York Daily News, neighbors heard fighting in the hallway earlier that afternoon and alerted cops. The chilling part, though, is they all said the altercation happened “very fast” and neither man said a word. Whoa.
Police told The NY Post Saxon was taken into custody Monday and charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon. He was also taken to the hospital to be checked for injuries, and could possibly still be there as of Tuesday evening.
Christopher Grant, father of the victim, talked to the Daily News following the death of his son and said:
“He was just a loving kid who was there for his family and his daughter. It’s just so sad that she has to grow up without a father. He cared for people, looking after his grandma because most of us are not there [in New York]. Kadeem was a kid, you need him and he was there for you.”
Heartbreaking…
Meanwhile, however, Saxon’s mother tells a different story. She told the outlet her son was not guilty of the crime — nor can he remember it:
“I don’t know what happened, but I can tell y’all based on what I do know that it’s not going to be as simple as you want to make it. Dynus didn’t just decide to murder somebody … He does not know what happened.”
No motive has yet been revealed for the crime, not even what relationship the two men shared.
The alleged murderer is known for his work in Vogue Italia, as well as brands like JD Sports and Levi’s, according to his now-private Instagram account. He was on his way up, even attending big recent red carpet events, like the premieres for The Batman and Deadpool & Wolverine.
Such a horrifying situation.
