Michelle Rodriguez Fiercely Defends Liam Neeson, Says He's Not A Racist: 'It’s All F***in’ Bulls**t'

Michelle Rodriguez

Say what, Michelle Rodriguez?
The actress recently spoke out in support of her Widows costar Liam Neeson, who’s been at the center of a true s**tstorm since he publicly admitted to once stalking the streets armed with a big stick in hopes of killing a random “black bastard” after a close friend of his was raped.

The Fast and the Furious alum shared her thoughts on Wednesday, while out at the amfAR Gala New York. She puts it plainly, saying:

“It’s all fuckin’ bullshit. Liam Neeson is not a racist.”

Ok, but how is she so sure here? That story he told was truly nuts… The actress continues:

“Dude, have you watched Widows? His tongue was so far down Viola Davis’s throat. You can’t call him a racist ever. Racists don’t make out with the race that they hate, especially in the way he does with his tongue—so deep down her throat. I don’t care how good of an actor you are. It’s all bullshit. Ignore it. He’s not a racist. He’s a loving man. It’s all lies.”

Yikes… this does not sound like the hill you want to die on, Michelle.
The argument she’s making here really has no footing for several reasons. She’s an actress herself too, so we want to give her the benefit of the doubt here that she has some firsthand experience in on-screen romances.
But with that being said, the chemistry between Viola and Liam on-camera was simply that. It’s acting. Just because you’re getting paid to passionately kiss a costar of a different race, that automatically excuses you of being called racist, ever? Is it not their job, to sell genuine love and attraction in this case?
The answer here is no, it does not excuse you.
As we reported, Neeson tried his best to do some damage control on his public perception when he appeared on The Today Show on Tuesday morning. He reiterated why he told the story in the first place — to contribute to the conversation of racism in hopes to help? — and he also explained feeling remorse and seeing a priest to confess.
But it seems like the damage has already been done, as the 66-year-old’s latest movie premiere for Cold Pursuit was canceled from all of the backlash.
At this point, Michelle is the first star to come forward in Liam’s defense. Do YOU think others will come forward, or is he officially canceled for good?
Sound off below!
