We were pretty skeptical when we saw an “insider” saying Meghan Markle wasn’t really as close with her mother as everyone thought.
The source had said Doria Ragland barely ever visited her daughter when she was acting on Suits, which filmed mostly in Toronto, and the 63-year-old yoga teacher wasn’t likely to visit much now that Meghan is living in Canada again…
But if this new report is true, it really does make that look like a hit piece or some kind of sour grapes.

A source close to the Duke and Duchess says Meghan and Prince Harry are planning on living in Los Angeles as well as Canada! The insider tells People:
“They love being in Canada, but they are looking at houses in L.A. too. They’ll likely have houses in both places.”
Well, that should quash any rumors of Meghan and her mom not really being as close as they seem. Not that they couldn’t talk on the phone every day, but they’ll apparently soon be geographically close as well! The confidant says the couple are planning on spending time in the US as soon as this Summer, so Grandma won’t even have to wait too long to see baby Archie!
That news goes along with October 2019 rumors stating the Sussexes were planning on a second residence in California before the whole #Megxit ordeal even unfolded! Everything seems to be falling into place…
This should also go a long way towards giving Meghan all the emotional support she was lacking in the “soul crushing” environment living among the Royals in the UK. As a friend told DailyMail.com last month about the decision to leave:
“She told her inner circle of friends that her soul was being crushed and that the decision to leave was a matter of life or death — meaning the death of her spirit.”
But in Los Angeles, she has tons of friends to lean on, including former co-stars, not to mention her true BFF, aka MOMMA. As the People source continues:
“She definitely gets a lot of her strength from her mother.”
Sounds great for Meghan. But what about Harry?
We’ve heard recently he was getting homesick and messaging his old pals back in the UK quite a bit lately. Does he need a support system?
Also — negotiations seemed pretty specific about the pair having a new home in Canada, another nation of which Queen Elizabeth is also the monarch.
Have they actually found a way to secretly move to Los Angeles? By getting a “second home” near Meg’s mom that they just happen to stay at most of the time while working in Hollywood? Like, say, for Disney??
What do YOU think about this real estate news, Royal readers??
