Miley Cyrus doesn’t want to blow you a kiss├óΓé¼┬ª at least not when she’s being told to!
That catcalling nature is just one of the reasons the pop star is never walking a red carpet again, a boycott she stood by when appearing on Friday’s episode of TODAY.
Sitting down with Carson Daly and Savannah Guthrie, Miley defended her recent announcement in Elle magazine that she would be bowing out of the old Hollywood tradition.

Clarifying her original comments, she said:
“It’s really not about the color of the carpet. It’s more about, especially women, we get yelled at to blow them a kiss, and I don’t feel like blowing you a kiss. [The photographers] yell, ‘Blow us a kiss!’ Like what is going on? Who are you? And then you’re just kind of putting yourself out there for people to talk.”
And talk they will!
We all know the 23-year-old is no stranger to being the center of media attention, especially when dressed in one of her many head-turning outfits.
Though the songbird explained that the very reason why she seldom wears clothes is because she hates when people talk about what she’s wearing, continuing:
“I don’t want people to talk about what I’m wearing. That’s usually why I don’t wear too much, but they make me wear clothes on The Voice and on The TODAY Show, so this is what I chose.”
Makes sense to us.
Clothed or not — we love her either way!
