So you’re saying there’s a chance…
At least, that’s reportedly what family members are hoping for when it comes to Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. According to a report from E! News out late Friday night, those closest to the estranged couple are optimistic about the potential for reconciliation — and it sounds like they’re hoping for sooner rather than later.

After all, Miley and Liam have been on-and-off for a decade now, so for those who have watched the roller coaster ride in its entirety since 2009, no wonder this could seem like just another (big) hiccup in the road. A source close to the fam — and the couple — seemed to double down on this idea in the new report, too, revealing more of the extended fam’s thought process (below):
“Their families have urged them to take some time to breathe before they make any final decisions. They are both upset about how this has blown up and are both hurting right now.”
No kidding about them both being upset and hurting right now…
But perhaps, as cooler heads prevail over time, there’s hope for these two to reconcile and get back together yet again? At least from the extended fam’s perspective, they’re hoping this means Miley and Liam say ‘no’ to divorce. The thought is, if they can take time apart and make things right with each other, perhaps they’ll be able to avoid the legal hassle and all the paperwork… and the finality involved with the act itself. But is this realistic?!
It’s interesting, to say the least; the insider also dished a bit about what led up to the breakup earlier this month, including details about how things had been so good at the time of the wedding… only to deteriorate as time wore on.
The source revealed more (below):
“They were in a great place leading up to the wedding, [which inspired them to] finally tie the knot. [But then] their relationship completely changed. Miley got back in the studio and was focused and serious about her new music. Liam was continuing to party with his friends. They used to party [together], but Miley outgrew that phase.”
Very interesting…
Ultimately, it appears the pair is at least a little bit willing to see how this all plays out, though. Maybe it’s optimistic to think of now, but the insider did have some hopeful words about a potential reconciliation, too (below):
“[They are] trying not to communicate and really give each other space … There’s definitely a chance that they will get back together. Neither Miley or Liam have decided when they are going to take the next step of filing for divorce, because there is a chance of reconciliation.”
Wow! So you’re saying there’s a chance, indeed! May be small… but there may be something there! Who knows???
