She’s beauty and she’s grace, she’s… Miss America 2017!
52 talented women battled it out on the Miss America stage Sunday night, but only one lucky lady could walk away with the crown.
Luckily, The Bachelorette‘s Chris Harrison and Sage Steele were there to keep the festivities moving, which — as always — included the swimsuit, evening gown, talent, and interview rounds of the competition.

The final three were whittled down to Miss Arkansas, Miss South Carolina, and Miss New York, but in the end, judges Ciara, Gabby Douglas, Laura Marano, Sara Foster, Cole Swindell, Mark Cuban, and Miss America 1985 Sharlene Wells Hawkes selected…

Miss Arkansas Savvy Shields!!!
While we adored Miss New York Camille Sims, Savvy totally won us over with her pro-feminist introduction video — and she clearly impressed the judges as well.
However, Savvy’s win wasn’t the only notable moment of the ABC event, because the question-and-answer round provided some gems, per usual.
1. Miss New York Slams Donald Trump

While most of the ladies stayed positively political — Miss Maryland supports both Presidential candidates, somehow — Miss New York clearly won the Q&A portion of the night when Disney Channel star Laura Marano asked for her thoughts on Donald Trump, to which she responded:
“I think that he’s a great reminder of how our country needs to come together. If you don’t agree with his message, then it’s time to decide where you stand in this debate. As Americans we need to make sure that we come together, represent what it means to be American, which is celebrating all people from all backgrounds, whether you’re an immigrant, or a Native American, or an African American, or an Asian American.”
YASSSS, Queen!!!
2. Mark Cuban Licking His Lips At Miss Arkansas’ Swimwear
The Shark Tank star clearly had an early favorite going into the first round of the night…

Gross.
3. Miss Mississippi Does Not Impress Sara Foster
When asked about Miss America 1989 Gretchen Carlson‘s sexual harassment lawsuit with former FOX News chief Roger Ailes, eventual 4th Runner-up Miss Mississippi Laura Lee Lewis failed to impress Barely Famous star Sara Foster with an adequate answer, responding:
4. Miss Washington Fumbles Colin Kaepernick Question
Keeping in tradition of being too polite, eventual 3rd Runner-up Miss Washington Alicia Cooper both supported and condemned Colin Kaepernick‘s decision to boycott the National Anthem, saying:
5. Miss Arkansas Goes Over Her Time Limit Talking Hillary Clinton
Luckily for Miss Arkansas, the 20-sec. time limit was apparently not a hard rule when Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas asked her thoughts on Hillary Clinton, answering:
Ah, the joys of LIVE TV.
What was your stand-out moment of the night??
Congratulations again to all the competitors, but especially Miss America Savvy Shields!
