Of course not! A girl would have to be a down right lunatic to reject the love of Smolderhalder!!!
The buzz on the carpet of the People’s Choice Awards last night was that Vampire Diaries costars and lovers, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, were not speaking to each other after Ian got down on one knee and Nina refused him. Thankfully, the whole mess was just a silly rumor, one both Nina and Ian put to rest as soon as they hit the carpet. For Nina, marriage is a long way off, as she explains:
“It’s not like back in the day where you have to get married and have your children by 18. I’m a career woman and a young, very driven woman and I’ve got a lot I have to accomplish before I settle down and have kids and do any of that.”
Preach it, girlfriend! We’re all about that! (Though, if Smolderhalder was our BF, we would consider changing our tune.)
As for Ian, he admits that if he had been left holding the ring, he would’ve been happy to talk about. He adds:
“It’s not true. If it were true, I would admit to it, ‘cause getting turned down builds character!”
Don’t you just love how he is a glass half-full kind of guy? Really! Nothing ever phases him!
Married or not, you’re a lucky woman to have him in your life, Nina!
P.S. – The pair were in such a rush to get back to Atlanta to film VD that poor Nina didn’t even have time to change out of her dress! Check them out going through airport security (above)! (Hmm! That stare!!!)
