Oliver Stone is Dancing With the Devil

Oliver Stone has an odd interest in politics.

First he does his George Bush biopic W. and now he’s doing a documentary about Venezuela’s dictator “President” Hugo Chavez.

Stone said “It’s about Chavez and the South American revolution.”

Stone was present this past February with Chavez during the rescue of the hostages from the Columbian FARC group.

Though the documentary won’t focus on the rescue, it will show “the opposition Chavez has faced at home and abroad, especially from the Bush administration, which has been vocal in its distaste for the populist socialism espoused by Venezuela’s president.”

Somehow we just know this flick is going to suck.

Especially since it’s about Chavez!

Stone’s been working on the movie for about six months already and hopes to have it ready for next year.
