Turns out … Lonely Boy “couldn’t be happier for her!”
Ah! So glad there is no bad blood between exes Penn Padgely and Blake Lively.
The pairs story is fairly well known: They started dating after meeting on the set of Gossip Girl only to break up in 2010. However, it would appear that all worked out for the best, as just as year after their split, Blake went on to fall in love with her husband, Ryan Reynolds!
After learning about the couple’s surprise Sunday wedding, Lively’s former lover said:
“I actually didn’t know until last night, but I think it’s fantastic. I couldn’t be happier for her.”
In Hollywood, it’s impossible to tell whether a marriage will actually last or not, but Badgley believes they have a good shot. He described their relationship by saying:
“I think it’s everything that it should be.”
What?! Do you mean to tell us you don’t have a plan to break them up? Are you actually expecting us to believe that you don’t have Blair Waldorf and Georgina Sparks waiting in the wings for their signal to swoop in and seduce Serena’s new beau, proving him unworthy of her affections so you can whisk her back to your Brooklyn flat to live happily ever after?
Oh wait, sorry. This is reality… not Gossip Girl! Er, forget we said anything! Happy you’re all happy and mature and nothing like your fictional counterparts. (That last part isn’t completely true. LOL)
