This would’ve been an excellent October cover, because Rooney Mara looks downright ghostly on the front of Vogue‘s February issue.
With her pale complexion and piercing green eyes, the 27-year-old is truly a haunting beauty.
For the spread, the Side Effects actress gets her pose on in a white zebra mesh Alexander Wang top, strapless white Calvin Klein dress with black lace overlay, and a knit Helmut Lang sweater.
Despite landing her second cover of the fashion bible, Rooney admits to the mag that she hates dressing up, saying:
“The thing is, it├óΓé¼Γäós kind of an annoying part of the job├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥because I├óΓé¼Γäóm not a model, and I don├óΓé¼Γäót want to be. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót try to be a style icon. I├óΓé¼Γäóm just not that interested in that world. But it does matter, and either I can fight that or I just have to accept that it is a part of my job, and I may as well wear things that I like and that represent me.”
She also confesses how much she dreads the red carpet, telling the mag:
“[It’s] a nightmare! It├óΓé¼Γäós a panic attack waiting to happen. I don├óΓé¼Γäót even like people to sing ├óΓé¼╦£Happy Birthday├óΓé¼Γäó to me. When we wrap a film and everyone claps and cheers, I turn red. And then I have to walk out onto the middle of this carpet and there are all these photographers, and they├óΓé¼Γäóre all screaming at you. And usually there├óΓé¼Γäós a party at the other end of it, so it├óΓé¼Γäós not even like I have solace at the end of the carpet! It├óΓé¼Γäós like then I have to walk into my other nightmare!”
Whoa, girl, it can’t be that bad!
But now we understand why you never crack a smile!
