As reported earlier, Pam Anderson has been cast as the Virgin Mary in Russell Peters‘s new, comedic Christmas special.
And Catholics are PISSED!
Peters defends his casting choice of Anderson as many Catholic protestors go back to Anderson’s more horizontal past of sex tapes and nude modeling.
The comedian went on to say the following about his casting choice of Pam:
I didn’t even think of the other side of Pam Anderson which is so long ago, it’s like come on, give the chick a break already…
We had written the sketch and we didn’t know who we were putting in it and we thought, hey, Pam Anderson is Canadian, we can use more Canadian people in this show.
A Russell Peters Christmas Special is set to air on Canadian TV during December.
