San Francisco Is The Frontrunner To Host The 50th Super Bowl In 2016!

san francisco is the favorite to host the 50th super bowl in 2016
The San Francisco 49ers made it to the Super Bowl last year, but now it looks like the super might be coming to them!
The Bay Area city is the current frontrunner to host to 2016 Super Bowl and is competing against Miami and Houston for the HUGE event!
But if this is still 3 years down the road, why is it such a big deal right now?? Maybe because 2016 will mark the 50th anniversary of one of the biggest sporting events of the year! Now THAT’S a pretty big deal!
San Francisco has surprisingly only hosted one Super Bowl over the years, but they have a few tricks up their sleeve this time around! The brand spankin’ new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara will be opening next year and the state of the art arena is definitely helping their bid!
Oh, and it probably doesn’t hurt that they have some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley backing them up, like Google and Apple. Ever heard of them??
Miami is considered the “Plan B” right now considering they’ve hosted the event a record 10 times! But their failure to spruce up Sun Life Stadium over the years is making it a less attractive option to some officials.
NFL analyst Albert Breer recently wrote:

“Following the Miami Dolphins’ failure to secure public funding for renovations … San Francisco sits in the driver’s seat”

Seriously, they’ve already hosted the Super Bowl TEN TIMES! It’s time to give someone else a turn already!!!
Houston doesn’t really look to have a shot for 2016, but if they end up losing they’ll be the clear frontrunners to host in 2017!
The Super Bowl is already one of the BIGGEST sporting events of the year, and the 50th anniversary is going to make it even bigger! So who better to host it than San Francisco??!
