Sad…SeaWorld continues to show that these whales DO NOT belong in captivity.
New York reporter David Kirby has exposed many of SeaWorld’s cruel torturing of its killer whales or orcas.
Titled Death at Seaworld, Kirby claims that killer whales in captivity go through extreme physical and emotional damage.
Some of the trauma experience by the whales includes staff removing their teeth with power drills, separating mothers from their calves, and more.
Kirby also states that the tragic death of trainer Dawn Brancheau (above) was all on SeaWorld. Trainers interviewed by Kirby claim that SeaWorld staff usually kept them in the dark and that it was Brancheau’s “job” to read Tilikum‘s behavior.
Trainers were even told that they may not survive once they enter the water with killer whales.
Very disturbing stuff…
Tilikum is now away from direct human contact but what about the other whales?
