Selena Gomez & Emily Blunt Poke Fun At Golden Globes Lip-Reading Drama!

Selena Gomez and Emily Blunt weren’t taking any risks when they stepped out for the 2023 American Film Institute Awards in Los Angeles on Friday!

Throughout the past week, the two actresses made headlines for their conversations at the Golden Globes. Let’s start with Selena! Viewers caught the Slow Down artist relaying some juicy information to her friends Taylor Swift and Keleigh Sperry that made their jaws drop as the award show cut to a commercial break. And many believed the trio had been about none other than Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner!

Fans suspected Selena said she went to take a picture with Timothée, but Kylie immediately shut that down, telling her no. Given the previous feud between Selena and the makeup mogul, this made a lot of sense! However, the 31-year-old singer later gave her side of the story, saying:

“Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone business.”

Hmm. An expert lip reader doesn’t buy that explanation! Sources have even insisted Kylie was blocking Selena and other women from taking a photo with her man! Meanwhile, some fans have moved on to other theories! They speculated if Selly was actually talking about the rumored relationship between her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Meryl Streep. It has been a messy situation! And this was not the only drama unfolding at the Globes!

While on the red carpet together, Emily and John Krasinski were talking in front of the cameras when fans caught The Office alum dropping a shocking word to his wife — “divorce!” Many people 100 percent believed John had said the D-word to Emily. But others were not convinced! They instead thought he said he couldn’t “wait to get through this.”

While neither John nor Emily has addressed the breakup rumors, those who ship them together seemingly can rest easy now! A source for Us Weekly swore the couple aren’t splitting:

“There are no issues with Emily and John. They are absolutely not talking about divorce. They think the rumors are funny and ridiculous.”

Phew! As we said, so much drama happened at the Golden Globes this year. And it appears Emily and Selena do not want a repeat of the lip-reading gate again at the AFI Awards! The pair posed for a pic together at the event inside the Four Seasons Hotel – and hilariously poked fun at the drama they were involved in this week! In the snapshot, Selena and Emily could be seen staring at the camera with their hands covering their mouths. The Wizards of Waverly Place alum posted the image on her Instagram Stories, saying:

“We shall not speak lol.”
