Last year, Snooki filed a lawsuit against Excell Brands for selling a knockoff of her eponymous fragrance.
The company used packaging that was similar to Snooki’s, incorporated a Snooki-esque image of a girl on it, then even advertised the scent by calling it “our version of Snooki by Nicole Polizzi”. And yet, they called the Jersey Shore starlet’s lawsuit “baseless”!
Lucky for Miz Polizzi, turns out her suit wasn’t so baseless after all!
The judge ruled that Excell Brands is not allowed to use Snookie’s face, likeness, or real name to sell their knockoff, named Snazzy.
Snooki is still trying to sue Excell for $2.4 million, but so far they simply can’t hawk the fragrance any longer.
We’ll see how much money the judge thinks is fair!
