This idiotic epidemic needs to stop.
A swan in Macedonia, Greece has reportedly died after a woman dragged the animal out of the water to be used as a prop for a selfie.
According to reports, the Bulgarian tourist was visiting Lake Ohrid when she decided to pull the resisting creature out of the water by its wing.
Local resident Nake Batev was at the lake when he photographed the unidentified woman roughly handling the bird before yelling at her to back away from the animal.

Once the tourist was done with the swan, she reportedly dumped the animal on the ground and retreated back to her tour bus.
Some reports say that the woman killed the swan, noting the bird was motionless on the ground after the incident — but Batev claims he saw the swan eventually begin moving again and swam away.
This news comes not even a month after an endangered baby dolphin was killed when tourists on an Argentina beach passed it around for selfies.
It shocks and disturbs us that we live in a society where people disregard the safety of other living things because they want to take yet another narcissistic photo on Instagram.
