Can you believe it’s been TEN YEARS since The Hills first became a thing?!
The classic MTV reality show gave Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port, Audrina Patridge, Kristin Cavallari, and Heidi and Spencer Pratt their starts in show business and gave us one of the best crazy reality shows to ever take on the genre!!

Well now, The Hills and MTV are giving back a little bit more, because Lauren just dropped a big announcement about a special premiere on her Twitter account (below):
Today is the 10th anniversary of The Hills! I am excited to announce that @MTV will premiere an anniversary special with me on Tuesday 8/2!

Whoa!!
The working title of the special — The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now — is pretty appropriate, considering LC is going to take on the show’s best-kept secrets and dive into what it was really like to live on-camera for all those years.
An MTV statement on the show delivered more info:
“As we reconnect with our favorite girl from Laguna, we realize she’s grown up to be a cultural icon├óΓé¼┬ªand she’s still not afraid to tell it like it is … and ├óΓé¼ΓÇ╣reveal what it was really like living her pivotal years on camera.”
Sounds cool — pull back that curtain!!
