Trisha Yearwood isn’t the first and probably won’t be the last musical act to ditch SeaWorld.
The lovely lady is bailing on a big music event at SeaWorld in Orlando because of the park’s mistreatment of its killer whales.
Ever since CNN’s documentary Blackfish came out, musicians have been canceling their gigs at the park.
The doc exposes systemic cruelty and shows how these wonderful creatures suffer horrible abuse.
Even if it’s not physical abuse the fact that these huge whales are kept in tiny tanks and forced to perform for food is horrible.
They’re literally driven insane by living in cramped conditions for years and years.
What’s crazy is Trisha didn’t even see Blackfish! She just heard all about it and saw everyone else dropping out so she hopped on the bandwagon!
Way to follow the good example set by your peers!
